The Pan Orthodox Tournament started in 1968, and was held every year through 2019 in the middle of March, regularly involving 60-75 Orthodox teams from Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Ontario, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and other states over the 3-day weekend event. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the OYAA to cancel the 2020 and 2021 Tournaments, ending its consecutive 52-year run. The Pan Orthodox Tournament returned in 2022.
The Pan Orthodox Tournament uses a winner's bracket and a consolation bracket format, and all teams are guaranteed a minimum of 2 games. Awards are given to each division's Champion, Runner-Up and Consolation Champion, and an All-Tournament Team in all divisions, except for the Biddys.
The 2022 Pan Orthodox Tournament was a big success and we would like to thank all the players, coaches, parents, churches and all the fans who supported this event. Please see the results from the 2022 Tournament:
